The Journey Within...

Mazes offer fun and challenging ways to journey through a path filled with problem solving and relaxed concentration. They present problems composed of various elements of spatial patterns that challenge the player to organize and learn.

Spatial Memory

Spatial memory is related to that part of memory responsible for recording one's environment and its
spatial orientation

Spatial | Creativity

In humans, spatial awareness is a function largely confined to the right hemisphere

Theta-band activity, around
4-8 hz, plays a significant role
in memory function in humans

Research suggests theta oscillations may be more prevalent when a task is made more difficult, such as the manipualtion of maze length

Games: A platform for informal learning

Spatial gameplay has been found to be related to the development and/or training of spatial skils

In one research study, the relation between children’s early puzzle play and their spatial skill was observed involving mental transformations of 2D shapes. Children who were observed playing with puzzles performed better on this task than those who did not. Moreover, among those children who played with puzzles, frequency of puzzle play predicted performance on the spatial transformation task

Neural Support

Mental training via skill learning may increase the odds of new neuron survival that are produced through the process of neurogenesis
